Bulldogs Fall to West Hills Lemoore

SANTA MARIA, Calif. - A short-staffed Allan Hancock College women's soccer club fell at home, 2-1, to West Hills Lemoore on Friday afternoon.

Both teams remained scoreless through the first half of play, but a goal in the 53rd minute gave the Golden Eagles (1-0-1) a 1-0 advantage. In the 67th minute, West Hills doubled their lead after capitalizing on the scramble in the box. Antoinette Terrones scored the lone goal for Hancock (0-2-1), and her first of the season. with a breakaway streak in the 78th minute. Ally Britt suffered the loss in the box but recorded two saves through 90 minutes of play.

Despite operating with a shortened squad, the Bulldogs were able to out-shoot West Hills, 10-7, while placing five attempts on frame. Neither team saw much action from the corner as the Golden Eagles recorded the lone corner kick of the contest. 

Hancock is set to return to action on Friday, September 10th, with a home contest versus Taft at 2 PM on Allan Hancock Field.
