Citrus College came out swinging and grabbed a 22-3 victory over LA Pierce.

The Owls improve to 8-5 overall and 3-1 in the Western State Conference with the win.

Teghan Miller led the Owls with five goals, four assists and five steals, while Sey Currie, Gabrilla Terry, Gabby Orozco and Mia Meldrum all had three goals.

Citrus scored eight goals in the first quarter to set the tone early and added five in the second, before scoring four and five in the third and fourth, respectively, to take the game.  

Stephanie Azizeh made five saves in the cage for Citrus.

The Owls host a tournament this weekend, taking on East LA and Chaffey on Friday.
