Softball Wins Twinbill Against Mendocino

Ukiah, Calif - The Solano softball team won a Bay Valley Conference twinbill at Mendocino on Thursday afternoon, 14-6 and 13-3.

In the first game, sophomore Jamie Batto led the team with a 3-of-5 performance with two doubles and two RBI. Sophomores Alaena Selden and Courtney McGraw backed her up with a home run each with Selden also counting a pair of RBI. In the circle, sophomore Adriana Montuya picked up the complete-game win to improve to 7-3 on the season, allowing only two earned runs and striking out three.

Sophomore Aleya Turner and freshman Hailey Enriquez led the Falcons in the second game of the day with three hits each. Turner counted a pair of doubles to score two, while also scoring two runs of her own. Enriquez tallied a double and a home run in her efforts. McGraw pitched her first complete game of the season to pick up her second win, allowing only one earned run and fanning six.

The Falcons (13-11, 6-0) remain on the road, heading to Ohlone for a non-conference doubleheader on Saturday, Apr. 6 beginning at 12 p.m.
