The FC women's soccer team brought down Southwestern College 1-0 in their home opener on Friday afternoon.
The lone goal of the game came on a corner kick by Taylor Hobbs. Brianna Remedios then leapt up into the air and knocked the ball into the back of the net scoring on a header.
From there, the quickness of the Hornet defense shined through keeping a strong Southwestern team scoreless.
Goal keeper Savannah Dyer nabbed another shutout while amassing 7 saves on the day.
