Women's Water Polo Wins Their Home Opener in a Thrilling Match

The American River College Women's Water Polo program defeated Diablo Valley College in an exciting match 16-15.
The match was a back and forth battle throughout. Both teams would take the lead at varous times throughout each quarter. The Beavers took a 9-8 lead into halftime and a 12-9 lead into the final quarter. However, Diablo Valley would battle back to tie the match at 15-15 with less than a minute left to play.
The Beavers would respond with a key goal with less than 30 seconds in the match and held defensively to win the match 16-15.
The Beavers move to 1-0 on the season and will travel to Modesto on Wednesday, September 28th for their next match against Modesto Junior College.
