Women's soccer team wins final home game of the season 2-1 over West L.A.

The GCC Women's Soccer Team made a 2-1 halftime lead standup by beating visiting West Los Angeles College 2-1 Tuesday Nov. 12 at Sartoris Field. 

Hillary Mentaze scored the first goal for the Lady Vaqs scored the first goal of the game at the 37:33 mark for a 1-0 lead on an assist by Brenna Larisch and then Mentaze assisted on the second Glendale goal after West tied the score at 1-1, on a goal by Victoria Jimenez at 42:55 to make it 2-1.

Goalie Ashley Valle allowed the singles goal by West L.A. in the first half and faced no other shots on goal.

Glendale, now 6-14-1 overall and 2-10-1 in WSC play, closes out the 2019 season Friday Nov. 15 at Canyons at 5:30 pm.
