Balanced Attack Leads Spartans to Three Wins, Still Undefeated

Over the weekend the Spartans hit the road for three games in two days. They opened on Friday at Saddleback College with a 3-1 win (18-25, 25-12, 25-20, 25-14).  MiraCosta was led by Camryn Seaman's 14 kills, hitting a .357.  Halie Hess and Shannon Evans added 11 and six kills respectively. Kacy Hele passed for 32 assists and also had five kills and four digs.

Hanley Lomax anchored the defense with 20 digs.

The next day the Spartans continued the road trip at Pasadena City College where they took on PCC and San Diego Mesa College. MiraCosta beat Mesa 3-1 securing the victory with a convincing 25-6 fourth set.  Haley Torres, Camryn Seaman and Halie Hess led the way on the offense combining for 28 kills. Setter Kacy Hele had 28 assists and 9 digs. MiraCosta's defense was strong with Torres adding nine digs, Hess eight digs, and Lomax with seven digs.

In the final match of the trip the Spartans swept Pasadena City 3-0 behind Hess' 11 kills and Hele's 28 assists.

The Spartans will next take the court on Wednesday, Sept 5th, at Long Beach City at 6PM.
