Rio Hondo College freshman forward Danielle Moore knocked in a pair of first-half goals and added an assist to lead the Roadrunners to an impressive 3-0 win over the visiting Ventura College Pirates on Friday.

The non-conference victory improved Rio Hondo to 3-0-2 overall this season.

Moore combined with Serina Vargas for both goals, as she gave Rio Hondo a 1-0 lead in the 18th minute while scoring her second in the 30th minute. The Roadrunners led 2-0 at halftime and iced the victory with Zharria Ramirez' goal in the 60th minute off the assist from Moore.

Izella Delgadillo (72 minutes) and Dominique Valadez (18 minutes) combined to post Rio Hondo's third shutout of the season.

The Roadrunners returns to action on Tuesday (Sep. 18) when they travel to Santa Monica College for a 1 p.m. non-conference game.
