OC Moves to 4-1 on the Season

Condors celebrate first goal
Condors celebrate first goal

The Oxnard College Men's Soccer Team got back on track with a resounding 2-0 win over Santiago Canyon on Friday afternoon.

The Condors controlled the action and dictated the pace.  With OC on offense for the entire game, they stayed patient and methodically broke down the Hawks stingy defense.

The first goal came at the end of the first half (44 min.) off the foot of Angel Herrera.  The freshman scored his third goal of the season on an assist by Luis Juarez.  That would be all the defense and first-year goalie Jesus Gonzalez Rangel would need for the shutout win.

Erik Lopez added an insurance goal from a feed by Jose Olea in the 66:00 minute mark to give Oxnard plenty of cushion.

Another quality win by a young and talented Oxnard team.

They will be traveling to Compton College for a 4:00 kickoff on Tuesday afternoon.
