Citrus College battled but dropped a 97-56 loss to the College of the Canyons Saturday afternoon.
The Fighting Owls drop to 3-23 overall and 0-12 in the Western State Conference with the defeat. The Cougars improve to 11-14, 6-6.
Malia (Rocha) Ili led the Owls with 22 points, while Julie Garcia Man grabbed a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds. Jailene Rosas chipped in another 12 points, while Kaylene Brown snagged 10 boards on the night.
The Owls look to bounce back on the road, heading to Antelope Valley for a 5:00 p.m. tip off on Wednesday.
