CLOSE LOSS BUT RISING UP

CLOSE LOSS BUT RISING UP

The Hornets took a bus down the 5 Freeway to Southwestern College on Tuesday and lost in a close 2-1 match.

Although FC has lost its first three matches of the season, the team has a lot of talent and will be a force to reckon with once the players begin executing their individual assignments. The Hornets have been battling it out on the road and will not see a home game until Friday, September 23rd vs. LA Harbor.

The Jaguars struck in the 27th minute on a shot by Ilusion Duron with the assist by Elsa Sarabia.

Fullerton's Jayden Romo hit back eight minutes later on a solo shot to tie the game at 1-1.

Southwestern put the game away late in the 82nd minute when Stacy Ziramba knocked in the unassisted shot.

Goalies Victoria Saldana and Kailey Atilano split time in the box. Saldana had 1 save and a goal against, while Atilano had 2 saves and a goal against.

Up Next: Fullerton (0-3 overall) will try and get its first win of the season on the road against Rio Hondo (1-1-1 overall) this Friday, September 23rd. Game time is at 6:00 pm.
