RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. – The SBCC women's soccer team was unable to find the back of the net for the first time this season on Tuesday afternoon at Chaffey College, falling to the Panthers 2-0.
Santa Barbara is now 3-3 on the year while Chaffey improves to 5-2-1.
The Vaqueros' 17 shot attempts were the most in their last three games. Goalkeeper Analea Pule tallied four saves.
However, the Panthers would open the scoring in the 25th minute, as Rose Hawki found Olivia Mora for a goal to make it 1-0. Chaffey later added another goal from Kaylen Gonzalez in the final minutes of the match.
This Friday, Sept. 24, the Vaqueros will return home to host Canyons at 2:00 p.m. at La Playa Stadium. This will be their final game ahead of their Western State Conference opener at Ventura on Sept. 28.
