Sophomore Denae Finney and Freshman Vanessa Quevedo are the starting OH for the 2018  season. Both players have posted strong stat numbers, both with a double double in Friday's match versus Columbia College.

Quevedo posted a career first with 12 kills and 12 kills. Finney got her first of the season, fourth of her career, posting 11 kills and 10 digs.

Pirates quickly won sets 1 and 2 with hitting percentages of .250 and .280 respectively. The Claimjumpers stayed strong and won sets 3 and 4. Set 5 was a thrilling 2 point battle but the Pirates prevailed winning the set 15-11, hitting .250.
