NEW COACH SAME WINNING RESULT

NEW COACH SAME WINNING RESULT

With a new head coach at the helm, the FC beach volleyball team picked up where they left off last season with a 3-2 win at Mt San Antonio College on Friday afternoon.

Last year's team under former head coach Megan Tomicic went an incredible 9-0 to win the Orange Empire Conference for the first time since the program's start in 2015.

The 2022 Hornet squad looks to keep that win-streak going under new Head Coach Niloofar Mojab, a former track & field and volleyball athlete for the Iranian national teams. Coaching in the United States since 2018 Niloofar has worked with many age groups, including 13's, 14's, 15's, and 18's at ProPlay volleyball club. Currently a student at Whittier College pursuing her B.A. in social work, Niloofar looks to graduate in 2022. She played volleyball for Whittier College before finally retiring as an athlete.

Friday's win over the Mounties shows that the Hornets are staying the winning course.
