Tiger Softball Splits Road Doubleheader

The 2022 Reedley College softball team has already equaled the number of victories recorded last season.
Last season, Reedley won three games in a Covid pandemic shortened season.
This season, Coach Amy Bailey's Tigers left Sacramento with a 3-3 record after defeating College of the Siskiyous 14-4 and losing a 11-3 decision to Sacramento city College on Saturday.
The Lady Tigers will face Siskiyous again this Saturday. This time the game will be in Aptos at 12 noon before facing host Cabrillo at 2 pm. On Monday afternoon, Reedley hosts Cerro Coso in a 12-noon doubleheader.
"Annabelle Buchanan pitched a great game against Siskiyous," said Coach Bailey. "The outfield really played well behind her." The coach said that the contest started with a diving stop from Julianna Moreno in left field before a barehanded grab on a line drive to right-center by Gracie Wheeler and a catch against the wall by Ava Trevino in center. 'It was a great effort by our girls."
Offensively, Sienna Esquivel homered and Ellie Montalvo had two hits in four at-bats.
