The Lady Jaguars come out eager for a win and deliver.
The Lady Jaguars put on a stellar performance vs Grossmont College Griffins winning 5-4. In doubles, freshman Loraine Payanco and sophomore Anna Ilusorio kicked off the day with the Jag's first win. Payanco and Illusorio's team chemistry out-paced their opponents in an 8-6 win. #2 Singles, Lorraine Payanco goes the distance and gains momentum in the later part of her match to beat her opponent 5-7, 6-3, 6-1. #3 Singles, freshman Needah Nourbaksh outclassed her opponent winning both sets, 6-3, 6-3. #5 Singles, freshman Katrina Pacheco also came out on top winning both sets 6-4, 6-4. #6 Singles, freshman Linda Castañeda won by default. The Lady Jags are scheduled to play next on March 16 at 2:00 PM vs San Diego City College at City College.
