Mikayla Clark and Caitlin Donatucci each recorded double-doubles but it was not enough as El Camino College was eliminated from the CCCAA State Championships with a 3-1 (25-14, 23-25, 28-26, 25-10) loss to Fresno on Friday at Southwestern College.

Clark recorded 20 kills and added 10 digs while Donatucci dished out 32 assists with 10 digs in the losing effort. Kelly Donatucci paced the defense with 29 digs but the Warriors offense struggled as the team hit a collective .084 on the day.

Meanwhile, Fresno got double-digit kills from three players led by Rylee Kenitzer's 17 while Kimiah Johnson and Taylor Dilley added 10 apiece in the victory.

The teams were tied at a set apiece going into a critical third set. The Warriors fought their way to a couple of set-points but Fresno kept fighting them off and eventually pulled out the hard-fought set 28-26.

That proved to be the last stand for ECC as Fresno cruised to a 25-10 win in the fourth to secure the victory and end the Warriors' season.

The Warriors finish the year with a 23-6 record after recording their 10th straight South Coast Conference title.
