Women's Basketball Loses On The Road

Despite 29 points and nine rebounds from Makaiyah Randle, the Reedley College women's basketball team dropped a 90-68 to the state's second-ranked team, the Fresno City College Rams on Saturday night in Fresno.

Reedley trailed by only six points through three quarters before being outscored 29-12 in the final 10 minutes. Keaira Lerrell-Harris followed with 12 points for the Tigers while Mia Garcia came off the bench to score 10. Fresno's Laney Amundsen, a reserve, led all scorers with 32 points and 14 rebounds.

The win was the 17th straight for the Rams while the Tigers suffered their eighth straight loss.

Randle had 25 points and nine rebounds in a 72-48 loss to first place and co-leader West Hills Lemoore on Monday night in Lemoore.

Reedley travels to Porterville on Wednesday, Jan. 26 before hosting West Hills Lemoore on Saturday at 5 pm before going to Taft on Monday, Jan. 31. Porterville, Taft, and Reedley are winless in conference play, through Monday.
