Alondra Jimenez tossed in a season-high 27 points on Tuesday night and SBCC erased a six-point deficit with a 25-14 fourth-quarter surge that produced a 65-60 women's basketball win at Santa Ana.

The Vaqueros (10-3) won their fourth straight and avenged a 75-69 loss to the Dons (5-5) on Dec. 6 at the Hancock Tournament.

Jimenez drained 13-24 from the field while collecting six rebounds, five assists, four steals and three blocks. Jordan Parkhurst added 11 points and eight rebounds.

The Vaqueros were down by two, 60-58, when Nicole Robles hit a 3 with 1:58 left. SBCC scored the last seven points on layups by Sierra Cavaletto and Parkhurst, plus a game-clinching 3-pointer by Jada Forsdick-Stevenson with 0:16 to go.

"It was a great team win," said SBCC coach Sandrine Krul. "Every time we needed a big shot or assist in the last three minutes, somebody stepped up. You had Tori Kelley hitting two corner 3's, Jordan went backdoor twice and Alondra threw a great quarterback pass to the weak side to set up Jada's 3-pointer."

Sophia Torres had eight points and six rebounds.

Robles led Santa Ana with 16 points. Brianna Aluva, who scored 21 in the first meeting with the Vaqueros, notched 13 in the first half and zero in the second.

The Vaqueros trailed by four (53-49) with 5:28 to play. Then Kelley hit a triple to ignite a 16-7 game-ending run. Kelley tallied nine points on 3-3 shooting from long distance.

Jimenez scored 15 in the first half and the Vaqueros trailed 30-29. Santa Ana took a 46-40 advantage into the fourth period.

Santa Barbara shot 64.7% in the last quarter, including 3-5 on 3-pointers. Jimenez scored 10 points on 5-6 shooting in the final 10 minutes.

The Vaqueros are playing three games in four days in the El Camino Crossover. They'll play El Camino on Thursday at 6 p.m. and Golden West on Friday at 3 p.m. at El Camino.
