Men's Basketball Play Three at West Hills Lemoore Round Ball Tournament
The Men's Basketball team traveled to play three games in the West Hills College Lemoore Round Ball Tournament. The Panthers opened up the tournament by beating the host school West Hills 57-56. Latrell Pace led the scoring for the team with 19 points, Miguel Velez added 12 points with team high nine rebounds, and Tyrique Sears chipped in 10 points, six rebounds, and five assists.
On day two of the tournament the Panthers faced off against Reedley. Teams went into halftime tied 35-35, but the Tigers came out and won the second half handing the Panthers the loss 78-69. Tyrique Sears led the team with 21 points and four rebounds. Daniel Bost added 18 points and five rebounds.
On the last day of the tournament , the Panthers lost to Bakersfield 71-63. Just like the night before the teams went into halftime tied up 35-35. The second half belonged to the Renegades as they out scored the Panthers 36-28. Tyrique Sears scored 18 points, Brendon Cannon added 11 and Miguel Velez had 10. Velez and Cisco Narewski led the team with six rebounds each.
For his efforts Tyrique Sears was named to the All-Tournament Team.
The next home game for the Panthers will be Tuesday Nov. 26 vs Porterville at 5 p.m.
