Citrus College grabbed its third win in a row with a 2-1 victory over Antelope Valley College Friday.
The Owls improved to 6-2-1 and 2-0-0 in the Western State Conference. The Marauders drop to 7-3-1, 0-1-1 with their first conference loss.
Kaylee Sanchez put the Owls on the board, scoring in the 14th minute off a pass from Abigail Salvador.
AVC responded back in the 19th minute to send the two teams deadlocked at 1-1 into halftime.
Emily Velasquez Vasquez scored the game-winner in the 59th minute, scoring off a free ball after the AVC goalkeeper saved a penalty kick attempt.
Deziree Valdez made three saves to help secure the win.
The Owls host Bakersfield College on Tuesday with a 5:00 p.m. kickoff.
