SAN FRANCISCO – Sophomores Alexandra Arouxet Jara and Maleah Evans both scored two goals each to help lead City College of San Francisco to a big 7-0 win over visiting Cerritos College on Saturday.

The Rams cruised to their third consecutive win to improve to 5-2-1 overall while Cerritos fell to 2-3.

Despite the lopsided final result, the contest remained scoreless until late in the first half.

Joelle Fong Pedrosa finally opened the scoring in the 40th minute off the assist from Arouxet Jara. That opened the flood gates as the Rams would score three goals over the final five minutes of the half.

Arouxet Jara (43rd) and Evans (45th) sent CCSF into halftime with a 3-0 lead thanks to their late goals.

Iliana Sanchez got in on the scoring with the Rams first goal of the second half in the 49th minute. That was followed by Evans' second goal in the 59th, a goal by Sydney Reed in the 74th, and Arouxet Jara closed out it with her second goal in the 86th minute.

CCSF outshot Cerritos by a 22-4 margin. Freshman goalkeeper Elvira Motuapuaka totaled three saves to help post the Rams' third shutout of the season.

San Francisco will look to keep the momentum going on Friday (Sep. 30) when the Rams travel to Los Medanos College for a 6:30 p.m. non-conference game.
