By wide margins or last minute heroics, the GCC Women's Basketball team finds ways to win and they did it again Wednesday night with a 52-50 win over Antelope Valley College at home in the Verdugo Gym.

The driving layup by Tess Oakley-Stilson gave the Lady Vaqs the slight lead with 3.5 seconds left to give Glendale its 18th straight win to improve to 5-0 in WSC South play and 18-1 overall. They are ranked No. 4 in Southern California and No. 5 in the state.

GCC led 26-16 at the half but credit antelope Valley for hanging in as they won both the third and fourth quarters to tie the game at 50 all with just seconds left on the clock. Jad Aldana led GCC in scoring with 14 points off the bench including to three's and Oakley-Stilson added 12 and Vicky Oganyan chipped in with 11 and five assists.

Glendale plays next at Santa Monica Saturday Jan. 25 at 1 pm.
