The Falcons traveled to Rocklin on Thursday for game two of their series against Sierra, but came home with a loss as the Wolverines pounded the Falcons' pitchers for 19 hits en route to a 15-9 final score. The Falcons trailed 7-1 after five innings, but took advantage of two Sierra errors in the sixth to score seven runs and take an 8-7 lead. The Wolverines answered right back with two more runs in their half of the 6th, then put the game away with a six-run 8th inning. All seven Falcon pitchers got touched up for at least one run, while the Wolverine pitchers recorded 13 strikeouts. Falcon catcher Garrett Kellogg-Clarke was an offensive bright spot, going 3-for-4 with two doubles, two runs, and three RBI. Shortstop Isaiah Lissade added a double and two RBI to raise his batting average to .351.
The Falcons will conclude the series with Sierra on Friday afternoon at Falcon Field at 1:30 pm.
