CHABOT MEN’S SOCCER LOOKING GOOD

Chabot men's soccer coach Tony Igwe says his energetic team is doing "very well" as it continues preparations for Coast Conference-South action.
"We hope we can do better in the league with the number of incoming freshmen we have adding to the senior roster," Igwe says. "I expect to go far if we can play with discipline."
The Gladiators (2-2) are coming off a rousing 3-0 nonconference win over Marin on Sept. 15. Scoring for Chabot were Zahiem Fazel, Sohrab Rashid and Hasseb Babacarkhib.
In a 4-1 loss to San Joaquin Delta on Sept. 11, Chabot goalkeeper Terrel Spears made an incredible save on a penalty kick attempt.
The Gladiators boast key returners Danny Mejia, Josh Rojas, Omar Vasquez, Victor Xicay and Alberto Sanchez, along with several quality newcomers; Fazel, Babacarkhib, Rashid, Francisco Montes, Liam Comedy and Devin Lopes. Spears and Efrian Padilla are capable keepers.
Chabot will host Clovis on Tuesday, Sept. 18, Kickoff is at 4 p.m. Chabot will begin division play against Foothill on Sept. 25 at 3 p.m.
