No. 3 Vikings Upset No. 2 El Camino in 3-1 Conference Win

The No. 3 men's volleyball team snapped the No. 2 El Camino Warriors undefeated conference streak in a 3-1 adrenaline-fueled win on Wednesday evening. With the win, the Vikings improve to 12-3 overall, and 7-1 in conference.

The Vikings were on fire as they entered the court in the first set. The Vikings took down the Warriors 26-16 in the first set and 25-18 in the second set. They dropped the third set to the Warriors 19-25, but then bounced back in the fourth set to claim the 25-21 win.

Freshman outside hitter Kyle Anema led the team with 20 kills, with nine digs and had two service aces for the Vikings. Freshman setter Joseph Rocha nailed six kills and set a career-high record of 50 assists. Sophomore outside hitter Miller Davis and freshman opposite Uriel Batista were unstoppable at the net, as Davis totaled 14 kills and Batista with 12.

The No. 3 Vikings will return to the court on Friday, Mar. 26 at Antelope Valley at 6 p.m.
