The City College of San Francisco men's basketball team advanced to the next round of the California Community College Athletic Association playoffs after defeating the West Hills College Falcons 84-63 on Saturday at CCSF.

The Rams opened the game on a 25-8 run with 6:08 remaining in the first half. CCSF was led by guard Eddy Ionescu, who led all scorers with 14 first-half points including two made three-point shots. The Rams also got a strong contribution in the first half by forward Lewis Hayes who ended the first half with eight first-half points.

The Rams closed the first half with a 38-22 lead.

The second-half saw West Hills trying to cut into the Rams' lead. They came within nine points with nearly three minutes remaining. But the Rams' offense, who had an answer for every made West Hills score, proved to be too much for the Falcons. Guards Eddie Stansberry and Terrell Brown lit up the second half. Stansberry scored all of his 15 second-half points on three pointers (5), and Brown punched in 14 points with a mix of scintillating drives and dead-eye, outside shooting.

Saturday's win pushes their win streak to an impressive 25 straight games.

The Rams will play Cabrillo College next Saturday at CCSF for a Sweet 16 matchup.
