The FC men's basketball team came out firing at home tonight knocking off Riverside City College 84-79 for an Orange Empire Conference win.
For the first time this season, the Hornets took the lead and held it throughout an entire contest. They opened up with a 9-0 run and never looked back leading by as much as 19 points.
By half time, FC held a comfortable 42-28 lead.
In their first OEC meeting back at Riverside back on January 7th Fullerton fell 67-56.
Austyn Thompson came off the bench for FC and lit it up for a game-high 27 points. Ryan Magee put up 18 points and brought down 10 rebounds for a double-double. Kristopher Nelson scored 14 points with 7 assists and 7 rebounds. Jake McCloskey dropped in 12 points and Adam Johnson had 9 points with 7 boards. Isaiah Clark had 12 rebounds.
Up Next: Fullerton will look to keep it rolling when they hit the road this Wednesday, February 4th against Orange Coast College (5-14, 3-4). Tip off is at 5:00 pm.
