The West Valley women's water polo team finished the 2019 West Valley Invitational a perfect 4-0 with a 12-6 win over Cuesta and a 12-3 victory over Saddleback Saturday. Nadja Novakovic paced the Vikings (6-2) against Cuesta with four goals, followed by three each from Alexis Goldin and Giovanna Valente Cardenuto. GK Raquel de Pinho had her third consecutive 14-save outing. Three goals from Maria Higginbotham and two each from Sierra Ceballos, Heather Gray and Isabella Ruzsa led the WVC offense against Saddleback. West Valley hosts Laney (0-0) and Ohlone (3-3) in Coast Conference action Wednesday (9/25). The ball drops at 1:30 (Laney) and 4:00pm (Ohlone).
