Men’s Tennis Wraps Up Conference Play with Third Straight Win

The Riverside City College men's tennis team entered into its final Orange Empire Conference (OEC) match of the season against the Fullerton College Hornets in hopes of their regular season on a three-match winning streak. With a strong performance up and down the roster, they did just that leading to a 9-0 win.

The Tigers mixed up their lineup for the final match of the year that featured Lucan Braan and Felicien Adam at the top. They worked an 8-6 win backed by another 8-6 win from sophomore duo Noah Canones and Ellitot Burer at the second position. Sophomore Matthew Stark and Max Myers earned the third doubles nod and cruised to an 8-3 win.

The singles lineup remained the same and produced the same results leading to all two-set wins.

Freshman Rafael Rullan worked a 6-4, 6-3 win as the top player, while Braan followed with a 6-0, 6-4 win at the second slot. Adam rounded out the top three with a flawless 6-0, 6-0 victory.

Freshman Carlos Rullan authored a 6-2, 6-0 win as the fourth player as freshman Maurice Nolan held down the fifth position with a 6-3, 6-0 triumph. Freshman Anant Bhika sealed the sweep with a 6-1, 6-3.
