COD (6-1; 4-0) remained undefeated in Inland Empire Athletic Conference play by shooting down the Mt. San Jacinto Eagles (8-4; 2-2), 9-0.

In doubles play, the team of freshman Marco Alvarez (Chula Vista Eastlake) and freshman Lucas Hammond (Las Vegas (NV) Nevada Learning Academy at CCSD) won easily, 8-0. The team of freshman Joshua Wong (Rohnert Park Rancho Cotate) and freshman Carlos Alberto Robles Alvarez (Chula Vista High Tech High) took down the Eagles in a close match, 8-5. The team of freshman Elijah Strode (San Diego Heritage Christian) and freshman Danilo Milic (Pacific Palisades Charter) also won easily, 8-1.

In singles play, Alvarez only allowed a single point in his dominate win against Mt. San Jacinto, downing his Eagle opponenet in straight sets, 6-1 and 6-0. Strode, Robles Alvarez and Hammond effortlessly won in straight sets, 6-0 and 6-0. Milic fought hard in his match, winning in straight sets, 6-3 and 6-3. Wong won set one easily, 6-0 and then took set two, 6-2.

The next match for College of the Desert Men's Tennis will be at home in Palm Desert on March 17th at 2p, where they will host the Cerritos Falcons for an Inland Empire Athletic Conference match.
