LANCASTER - The Marauder women's basketball team had one of its worst shooting performances of the season shooting only 30 percent and fell at the hands of Citrus, 52-44, Wednesday at Marauder Gymnasium.
With the loss the Marauders fell to 14-13 overall and find its playoff hopes in severe jeopardy.
Deja Smith led AVC with 24 points and added nine rebounds. Shantanel Bivens finished with nine points, 13 rebounds and five blocks. AVC shot poorly from the 3-point line on 5-of-27 for the night.
Coupled with the men's loss against the Owls, it was the first time since Jan. 23, 2013 that both teams lost at home on the same night.
