The Hawks (4-1-0) led 1-0 in the 28th minute as Marquez scored off a double-assist from Lauren Soliz (Dougherty Valley) and Alyssa Fitting (San Leandro). Marquez upped the margin 10 minutes later off a double-assist from Danielle Castro (Granada) and Ava Buckles (San Ramon Valley), the goalkeeper who worked a shutout.
On Thursday, Fitting scored two goals early in the match as Las Positas (3-1-0) rolled to a 4-0 win over Siskiyous on Sept. 8.
