The Condor Men's Basketball squad opened WSC play on Wednesday night against Cuesta College.

The game looked promising in the first half, with Oxnard taking a 31-22 lead over the Cougars.  OC held the lead until the final five minutes of the game.  Although Cuesta was victorious, OC had a chance to win the game at the end.  Lymiere Banks' three-point shot glanced off the front of the rim, with the Condors trailing by just two points.

"It's a tough loss.  If we can put together 40 minutes of basketball, then we can win.  We allowed only 22 points in the first half, but 48 in the second...that's unacceptable," said hed coach, Ron McClurkin.

Jonathon Larson led all scorers with 23 points and 10 rebounds.  Lymiere Banks was a catalyst for the Condor offense, setting the tone for the evening.  He had 11 points, five rebounds, and five assists.  Luis Nunes had 15 points and Andre Ho had seven points for the Condors.

Condors look to rebound on Saturday when they travel to Santa Barbara to take on the Vaqueros.  Tipoff is scheduled for 7:00 pm.
