SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – The SBCC men's soccer team made it two straight shutout victories on Tuesday night at La Playa Stadium, defeating Glendale 3-0.

The Vaqueros (3-0-2) remain undefeated through five games, while dropping Glendale to 2-2-1.

"It was a very good display from our team, moving the ball around confidently, scoring three goals and keeping a clean sheet," said head coach John Sisterson. "Will Demirkol came on as a sub and excelled, scoring two goals and assisting another with a good performance that always troubled the Glendale defense."

The first of Demirkol's goals came in the 43rd minute off yet another assist by sophomore midfielder Paulo Carrillo-Weisenburger. Demirkol (2 goals, 2 assists) and Carrillo-Weisenburger (1 goal, 4 assists) lead the offense on the year with six points each.

In the 60th minute, Demirkol picked up his own assist to setup William Lindblom for a goal to make it 2-0. 11 minutes later, it was Demirkol yet again, as he secured his brace off the assist by forward Tanner Stevenson.

"The midfield moved the ball around nicely and the defense had another good display," Sisterson said. "Overall, a very good performance and looking forward to Bakersfield on Friday."

Santa Barbara posted a season-high 20 shots in the game. The Vaqueros will return to the road for their next two contests, starting with Friday's 2:00 p.m. matchup with Bakersfield.
