Baseball Falls to Glendale in Super Regionals

GLENDALE, Calif. --- The El Camino College baseball team saw its season come to an end this past weekend after falling to Glendale in two games in the CCCAA SoCal Super Regionals.

GAME ONE: GLENDALE 8, EL CAMINO COLLEGE 3

The Warriors found themselves in an early 4-0 hole after two inning and could never climb out of it. They were able to cut the deficit in half with two runs in the fifth but the Vaqueros put the game out of reach with four more runs in the eighth inning.

Juan Carlos Camarena went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead the offense but the rest of the squad went just 3-for-26 against Glendale pitching in the loss.

GAME TWO: GLENDALE 8, EL CAMINO COLLEGE 6

The Vaqueros again took the early lead with three runs in the second inning but the Warriors were able to answer with two runs in their half of the frame. The Warriors would tie things up in the fourth and then, with the teams tied 4-4 in the seventh, the Vaqueros scored once to take the lead and then added three in the eighth for insurance.

The Warriors cut their deficit in half with a two-run homer from Jonah Storey in the eighth to make it 8-6. They would get the tying run to the plate in the ninth as Theo Forshey singled with one out in the frame but a fielder's choice and a fly out to center ended ECC's season.
