West Loses A Heartbreaker in Home Opener

The West LA women's soccer team came up just short in the home opener against LA Harbor College on Friday afternoon.
Harbor's Ana Andrade started off the scoring 19 minutes into the 1st half, as she got the ball past WEST goalkeeper Jaylene Navarro to make it 1-nil. But late in the 1st half, West LA's Shelsin Chavez found the net to make it 1-1.

 
The Seahawks put on early pressure in the 2nd and found the net again, making it 2-1 Harbor.
The teams went back and forth the rest of the game, but the Wildcats we're unable to get any closer.
With the loss, the Wildcast are now 0-2 on the young season, while Harbor improves to 1-1.
 
The Wildcats travel to Compton College Tuesday, to take on the Tartars.
Gametime is 5 pm.
