SAC Men’s Basketball Falls to LBCC on Day Two of the 2019 Dana Pagett Tournament

SANTA ANA, Calif. – On day two of the 2019 Dana Pagett Tipoff Tournament, the Santa Ana men's basketball team suffered its second loss of the season, falling to Long Beach City 84-64 on Friday night.

Although the Dons kept the game close early on, they couldn't make enough shots to stay within reach. SAC shot an underwhelming 35.6 percent (26-73) from the field and just 24 percent from three (6-25).

Jalani Horn came off the bench to lead the Dons in scoring with 23 points on 11-16 shooting. He added 12 rebounds to log his first double-double of the season.

He was joined in double digits by sophomore guard Sean Githens, who also a came off the bench to put up 13 points and three assists.

Santa Ana men's basketball will go on the road for the first time this season when they play the El Camino Warriors on Friday, November 15th at 7:00 p.m.

In last year's game against ELCO, the Dons came out on top with a 68-65 win. The Warriors are 0-1 after dropping their first game 97-68 to Citrus in their season opener.
