WOMEN'S TENNIS: SAILING PAST PIRATES
The Hornets took a trip to Orange Coast College on Thursday and brought home a 5-4 victory over the Pirates in an exciting Orange Empire Conference match.
It went down to the wire in Costa Mesa as Allie Van gutted out a singles win to clinch for the match for Fullerton. Dealing with leg cramps, Van edged past her opponent 6-3, 7-6 (8).
Other FC singles players that were victorious were Jeanelle Canal (6-2, 6-2), Savanna Schreiner-Vanhoutte (6-1, 6-2), and Janet Shiau (6-1, 6-1).
The doubles team of Savanna Schreiner-Vanhoutte / Janet Shiau earned the lone doubles win taking down their opponents 8-5.
Up Next: Fullerton (7-7 overall, 3-2 conference) will host Riverside City College on Tuesday, March 10th at 2:00 pm.
