The MSJC beach volleyball team was back in action on Monday as they traveled to San Diego Mesa to take on the Olympians as well as Grossmont College.

The Eagles who are playing their first season of Beach Volleyball this year, dropped both matches on the day 5-0 to Grossmont and 4-1 to Mesa.  In the Grossmont match the Eagles came close to earning a point in the #4 match as Aleya Starnes and Laelanie Isbell lost a close one, losint 18-21, 21-15, and 5-15.  The Eagles were swept in the contest's other four matches.

MSJC earned one point in the second match of the day against Mesa with a forfeit in the #5 match.  In the #3 match Keana Sanzotera and Alicia Vasquez nearly won a point losing a tightly contested 3 setter; 21-13, 14-21, and 17-19.

The Eagles now stand at 2-4 on the season and will return to action on Friday when they host Hope International.  Friday's home match at Menifee is set to begin at 10 AM.
