The Panthers are on the prowl with their sights set on another championship season. With a 5-1 win at Canyon yesterday, the team is looking to dominate the IEAC once conference action begins later this month.
At Canyons, Kayla Bergin had a fantastic showing - hitting three goals against the Cougars, two of the Panthers' three first half points. Serenity DeLaTorre started the game off with an unassited shot just four minutes into play to set the tone for the decisive victory. Vanessa Dennis closed the game out with a solo goal.
Goalie Cadence Juarez protected the majority of the game with three saves and gave up to the Cougars sole point. Maribel Laguna had 18 minutes at the net.
The Panthers begin their road stand Friday at Santa Monica. Proof of complete COVID vaccination or negative test within 72 hours is required to attend the game. The team returns home Tuesday to take on Saddleback.
