Beach Volleyball Splits a Pair of PCAC Matches

The MSJC beach volleyball team moved to 4-2 in Pacific Coast Athletic Conference action on Friday as they split a pair of matches with Grossmont and Palomar.

The Eagles lost to first place Grossmont 5-0, but rallied back to defeat Palomar 4-1.

In the Grossmont match the #3 duo of Kennidy Martin and Laelanie Isbell put up a stong fight as they lost in three sets 21-19, 14-21, and 12-15.  The number 2's of Chloe Mata and Trysta Vincelli also played tough before coming up short 19-21 and 18-21.

In the match against Palomar both of those pairs picked up straight set wins to set the pace for the Eagles victory.  The number four team of Iris del Valle and Kalia Anady also picked up a straight set win as they recorded wins of 21-17 and 21-16.  MSJC rounded out the day with a win at #5 as well when Tracy Blanchard and Audrey Underwood won 21-11 and 21-15.

The Eagles will return to action on Friday April 7th when they take on the same two teams in a PCAC match hosted at San Diego Miramar.  MSJC improved their record to 9-10 overall on the season.  Friday's first match will begin at 9 am.
