For the second year in a row the MiraCosta women's beach volleyball team will be representing the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference at the CCCAA State Championhip.  The Spartans had impressive performances against Golden West (4-1) and Riverside (5-0) in the regional playoff to earn the spot in the Final 6. The team State Championship will be held at West Valley College in Saratoga, CA on Thursday May 10th at 9AM.

MiraCosta received strong play from their 3's team, Celin MacDonald and Lana Salazar. In addition to her normal high IQ volleyball Salazar also made her presence felt at the net with two blocks.  Madison Anderson and Violeti Faleumu, the 4's team for the Spartans, continued their confident play.  After a final four finish in the conference tournament last week Anderson/Faleumu were dominant in their two matches helping MiraCosta on their way to the State Championship.
