The MSJC men's basketball team gave themselves a great opportunity for victory on Saturday night, but in the end came up short at LA Harbor 86-77 in the second round of the CCCAA play-offs.

The Eagles held a four point lead at the half 44-40 behind 17 first half points from Cameron Durr.  Harbor battled back in the second half to take the lead three minutes in and it was a battle the rest of the way.  Harbor built the lead to as much as 8 midway through the second, but the Eagles fought their way back.  MSJC had the ball with just under a minute to play down three, but a turnover cost them an opportunity to tie the game.  Fouls down the stretch by MSJC and made free throws by the Seahawks put the game away in the final 45 seconds.

Durr finished the game with a team high 21 points as four Eagles finished in double figures.  Kyle Render had 18 points, Dasean Stevens added 17, and Mateo Blocker had 11 for MSJC.

The Eagles finished a strong season with a 23-6 record, they were runners-up in the Inalnd Empire Athletic Conference with a league mark of 14-2.  Harbor moved on to the Regional final and will take on East LA on Saturday.
