COD (7-1; 6-0) had a couple of close matches, but eventually grabbed a lopsided home victory, with the Roadrunners in search of their first Conference title since 2014, as Desert knocked off the Mt. San Antonio Mounties of Walnut (6-5; 5-2), 9-0.

In doubles play, the 1's team of freshman Hana Moss (National City Sweetwater Union) and sophomore Emunah Daffon (Palm Springs H.S.) had no problems, winning 8-1. The 2's team of freshman Maryn Patek (Palm Desert H.S.) and sophomore Antonella Mazzotti (Rancho Mirage H.S.) won easily, 8-1. The 3's team of freshman Mavie Stoll (Usingen (GER) Christian-Wirth-Schule) and freshman Abigaile Corado (Norwalk John Glenn) took down Mt. San Antonio in a tougher match, 8-3.

In singles play, at the 3's, Patek won the first set, dropped the second and won in the extra set. At the 5's, Corado dropped the first set, won the second and survived the extra set. At the 6's, freshman Naylea Torres (Indio H.S.) still won in straight sets, but had to fight to avoid an extra set. The Roadrunners won the rest of their matches in straight sets.

The next match for College of the Desert Women's Tennis will be at the Rio Hondo Roadrunners of Whittier on April 4th at 2p to end South Coast Conference.

College of the Desert defeated Mt. San Antonio College, 9-0 in South Coast Conference play at College of the Desert in Palm Desert.
