Rams streak to 5-0 after road wins at Skyline, Ohlone

The City College of San Francisco women's volleyball team continued it hot start to the 2022 season thanks to consecutive road wins at Skyline and Ohlone colleges.

The Rams returned to action on Wednesday with a thrilling five-set victory (26-28, 24-26, 25-14, 25-9, 15-9) at Skyline. CCSF lost the first two sets before rallying to take the final three and the match.

It was the Rams' second consecutive win over Skyline after last week's 3-0 sweep at home.

Vanessa Semien had a huge match for the Rams, posting season-highs with 22 kills and 40 digs.

Anivaolegai-Moors Tafilele totaled 16 kills and 35 assists, Jennifer Mata'u had 15 kills, 27 assists, and 22 digs while Josie LedCallett posted a season-best 42 assists.

The Rams had a much easier time with Ohlone, sweeping the Renegades in Fremont on Friday by scores of 25-22, 25-17, 25-15.

Tafilele paced the offense with 14 kills to go along with 12 digs while Semien led the Rams with 16 digs.

LesCallett had a match-high 18 assists and Mata'u totaled 14 digs, 10 assists, and two blocks. Jasmine Davis chipped in with 11 digs.

The 5-0 Rams return to action on Wednesday (Sep. 21) when they travel to Hartnell College for a Coast Conference crossover match.
