The Condor Men's Basketball team lead 30-22, but was unable to keep up the intensity, falling 84-73 to LA Pierce.

Oxnard came out with a strong showing, with sophomore Lymiere Banks scoring 19 points to lead Oxnard again.  Luis Nunes was six for 12 from beyond the arc and had 18 points for the Condors.  Jonathon Larson had a monster game on the glass, with 13 rebounds, five coming on the offensive side.  Malik Patton had a nice game for OC with 18 points and five rebounds of his own.

"We needed to stop turning basketball over 24 times to give ourselves a chance," said head coach Ron McClurkin after the game.  "Out effort is great every time out, but we have to be smarter with the basketball."

Oxnard heads into a tough match-up against cross-county rival Moorpark College on Wednesday evening.
