Softball Splits Doubleheader With Reedley

Bakersfield, CA – Renegade Softball hosted Reedley for a doubleheader in their first home matchup of the abbreviated Spring II season and came away with a split.

In the first game Reedley quickly brought four runs across in the first inning. Even though BC was able to bring across two in the third and three in the fifth, they found themselves at the wrong end of a 7-6 score at the end of the game. Pitching all seven innings for the Renegades was Trinity Ybarra recording three strikeouts. Alexis Russell and Aviana Campos lead the team at the plate with three hits each.

In game two the Renegades fed off five runs scored in both the second and third inning to gain momentum in securing a 7-5 victory over the Tigers. Ariana Gutierrez got the start and win in the circle going 6 2/3 innings with two strikeouts. Jayden Bean brought in three RBI's to lead the team.

Next up, the Renegades host Cuesta this Thursday (4/15) for a doubleheader at 1pm/3pm at the Dean and Adah Gay Sports Complex.
