W. SOCCER: WINNING CAN BE FUN!

The FC women's soccer team hosted Orange Coast College on Tuesday and brought down the Pirates 3-1 in an Orange Empire Conference match.

It was the first OEC win of the season for the Hornets who now have a 1-1-1 record (4-2-2 overall). OCC's conference record stands at 0-2 with a 5-4-1 overall record.

Fullerton got on the board first in the 25th minute on Lizeth Garcia's shot from 18 yards out. Megan Nickerson was credited with the assist.

Moments later in the 26th minute, the Hornets struck again on a shot by Izabelle Garcia that punched the bottom left portion of the net. The assist came from Lizeth Garcia.

Orange Coast got on the board late in the 78th minute on McKenzie Keasbury's goal.

Ashley Bautista sealed the game for the Hornets in the 86th minute with the assist coming from Jiselle Casillas.

Up Next: Fullerton (4-2-2 overall, 1-1-1 OEC) travels to the OC Great Park to play Irvine Valley College this Friday, October 8th for another OEC match. Game time is at 3:00 pm.
