(Saratoga, CA) After a scoreless first half, the Mt. SAC Men's Soccer Team (2-0) scored early and often in the second half to earn a 5-1 win over host West Valley (0-1) on Saturday.

Angel Santoyo led the Mounties with two goals on assists from Guilherme Farias and Gabriel Arredondo. Paul Iniguez, Jason Garcia, and Alan Piceno also scored goals for Mt. SAC.

Goalkeepers Alain Hernandez (75 minutes, two saves) and Victor Juarez (15 minutes, one save) combined to keep West Valley scoreless until the 89th minute of regulation.

The Mounties will continue their Northern California road trip at American River (1-0) in Sacramento on Monday, Sept. 2, at 12 p.m.
